Located in the Industrial Park, off Sparkys Drive, the facilities are capable of holding up to 300,000 gallons of propane fuel. From this base Clean Gas provides island-wide propane deliveries, as well as suppling appliances, carrying out system installation, and undertaking repairs.
Engaged by main contractor, Hurlstone Construction, Kevin Drysdale represented the contractor during the negotiation and construction phases.
JEC were appointed as cost consultant to assist the client realise a fuel storage depot capable of storing 200,000 gallons of aviation fuel in order to serve the needs of Owen Roberts International Airport. Designed by the client and aviation fuel specialists the work was contracted to Warren Greene, with specialist subcontractors for the petroleum works. In addition to the highly-specialized petroleum works the project also involved the construction of a 5,000 Sq. Ft. administration building and a 3,000 Sq. Ft. workshop.

The Derwenthaugh EcoParc autoclave plant is a cutting-edge facility located in the Derwent Valley in the UK. This state-of-the-art plant is designed to efficiently and sustainably process 320,000 tonnes of organic waste materials, utilizing autoclave technology.
The autoclave system creates a high-pressure and high-temperature environment, effectively sterilizing the waste and breaking it down into valuable resources. The plant's advanced technology ensures minimal environmental impact, with the efficient use of energy and water resources.
Additionally, the plant adheres to stringent safety and quality standards, guaranteeing the proper management of waste and the production of high-quality end products. The Derwenthaugh EcoParc autoclave plant is a shining example of eco-friendly waste management and resource recovery.
Kevin Drysdale was appointed to the project to establish a robust cost plan and put together a two stage procurement plan that would allow for specialist contractors to be engaged during the detailed design phase.
Engaged as the Owner's Representative for the first phase of the development of a distribution warehouse centre for Fila (UK) at Follingsby Park, Kevin Drysdale was appointed as project manager and cost consultant for the second phase. The driving requirement that Fila (UK) tasked the design and construction team with delivering for both phases of their project was the construction narrow isle, high bay distribution storage, which significantly increased the capacity of the warehouses to store product before it was distributed by road throughout the UK.
The narrow isle design meant that operations within the warehouses would be largely automated using computer managed forklifts for accessing and distributing pallets. However, the use of this technology required a super flat floor and having faced issues achieving this on Phase 1, the second phase, constructed by Mansell, introduced chopped strand fibre reinforced concrete for the ground floor slabs. The decision proved to be a huge success.
In addition to their warehousing needs the development also delivered Fila (UK)'s head office and a large sales department with new product showrooms and a VIP hospitality area.

A unique element of the design was that the offices were designed to reassemble a modern shopping mall so that the company could display its various retail products.
